The deadline for registration in this international competition open to students of architecture around the world is 1st March 2012. The VELUX awards was created to showcase the use of daylight and sunlight as a natural source of lighting and energy in innovative architectural designs. The general theme for the prizes is The Light of Tomorrow. Projects must be submitted in electronic format before 7 May 2012. The following architects will make up the international jury: Alvaro Siza, Portugal; Brigitte Shim, Canada; Bijoy Jain, India; Peter Stutchbury, Australia – representing UIA; Per Arnold Andersen, representing VELUX.
